One-on-one tutoring, online or in-person We believe that entrance exams are too important to relegate to an impersonal class with 20 other test-takers. Each person learns and performs differently. We help students maximize their scores through a personalized, one-on-one course of study and preparation to ensure test day success. Students who choose Next Step receive a complete prep package (not simply a tutor matching service). We provide all necessary materials and sample curricula to help our tutors build a completely customized and very effective prep experience. We offer a free consultation to any student considering working with Next Step. We begin each tutoring engagement with a diagnostic exam that provides an initial picture of students’ strengths as well as weaknesses to be addressed. While we offer in-person tutoring services in 18 cities nationwide, more and more of our students are choosing online tutoring.

Work Experience:

Each of our instructors achieved a top score on the exam — but more importantly, they have years of experience teaching the exam (even before starting with us). While some mass-market prep companies can be vague about teacher qualifications, we’ll tell you specifically who you will be working with so you know you’ll receive top-flight instruction. At Next Step, you will never work with a first-time instructor.
